Jiangsu Taiyuan Environmental Science and Technology Co., Ltd. (TAIYUAN E.P.) continued its business mission in Sri Lanka on July 14, 2026, participating in the second day of the Environmental Protection and Renewable Energy Delegation organized by the China Association of Environmental Protection Industry and the Belt and Road Ecological Industry Cooperation Committee.
During the visit, Mr. Pan Hailong, CEO of TAIYUAN E.P., joined representatives from China's environmental protection, water treatment, solid waste, and renewable energy industries in a series of high-level meetings with the Central Environmental Authority (CEA) of Sri Lanka, the Board of Investment (BOI) of Sri Lanka, and leading engineering contractor MAGA Group. The discussions focused on modular water treatment technologies, green infrastructure development, and EPC cooperation for sustainable projects.

Promoting Modular Water Treatment Solutions
At the Central Environmental Authority, the delegation held in-depth discussions on hazardous waste management, medical waste treatment, and industrial wastewater challenges in Sri Lanka.

Mr. Pan Hailong introduced TAIYUAN E.P.'s TIMP Modular Prefabricated Wastewater & Water Treatment Plant, highlighting the company's extensive experience in water and wastewater treatment and its ability to deliver customized, modular solutions for local environmental conditions.
The two sides exchanged views on wastewater discharge standards, hazardous waste management, and implementation strategies for environmental infrastructure. Sri Lankan officials expressed strong interest in China's modular and low-carbon environmental technologies and reached a preliminary consensus with TAIYUAN E.P. on potential cooperation in hazardous waste and water treatment projects. The authority also indicated its willingness to provide policy guidance and technical support for future project implementation.

Exploring Investment Opportunities for Green Infrastructure
The delegation later met with the Board of Investment of Sri Lanka, where officials introduced the country's favorable investment environment, including policies allowing 100% foreign ownership, unrestricted profit repatriation, and incentives for environmentally sustainable projects.
The BOI also presented development opportunities across 22 industrial zones, including wastewater treatment infrastructure planned for the Hambantota Pharmaceutical Industrial Park.
During the meeting, TAIYUAN E.P. discussed investment policies, project development models, and its integrated overseas business approach combining environmental technologies, equipment supply, engineering services, and long-term operation and maintenance.

Strengthening Strategic Cooperation with MAGA Group
In the afternoon, the delegation visited the headquarters of MAGA Group, one of Sri Lanka's largest engineering and construction companies with more than four decades of experience in infrastructure development.
Pan Hailong introduced TAIYUAN E.P.'s comprehensive portfolio, including modular drinking water plants, industrial wastewater treatment systems, and EPC solutions supporting renewable energy projects. The discussions focused on three strategic areas of cooperation:
· Water treatment solutions for renewable energy projects
· Joint participation in environmental infrastructure projects
· Collaborative development of existing infrastructure assets
Both parties also explored cooperation models covering technology integration, equipment supply, and joint bidding for future projects, laying a solid foundation for long-term strategic collaboration.

Building Long-Term Partnerships in South Asia
The meetings resulted in multiple practical agreements and the establishment of regular communication channels between TAIYUAN E.P. and its Sri Lankan partners.
As follow-up actions, TAIYUAN E.P. will provide detailed technical documentation and international project references for its modular water treatment solutions, while Sri Lankan organizations will share upcoming opportunities in water utilities, renewable energy, and green infrastructure projects. Representatives from the Central Environmental Authority, the Board of Investment, and MAGA Group have also been invited to visit TAIYUAN E.P.'s intelligent manufacturing facilities and demonstration projects in China.
