July 15–17, Sri Lanka — Mr. Pan Hailong, CEO of Jiangsu Taiyuan Environmental Science and Technology Co., Ltd. (TAIYUAN E.P), visited Sri Lanka for a series of high-level business meetings to expand cooperation in the South Asian water sector. Centered on the company's TIMP Modular Prefabricated Wastewater & Water Treatment Plant, the visit brought together government agencies, infrastructure developers, industry partners, and research institutions to explore sustainable water solutions tailored to local needs.

Building Partnerships for Infrastructure Development

On July 15, Mr. Pan met with representatives from China Harbour Engineering Company, leading local engineering contractor UTE, and ABC Trade & Investment Group. Discussions focused on municipal water infrastructure, decentralized water supply for rural communities, and industrial park upgrades. The parties explored opportunities to combine modular water treatment technology with localized engineering and service capabilities.

Engaging Government and Public Water Authorities

On July 16, TAIYUAN E.P held meetings with Colombo's urban planning authorities, Sri Lanka's National Water Supply and Drainage Board (NWSDB), and provincial industrial agencies. The discussions addressed key challenges such as aging infrastructure and lengthy construction schedules. TAIYUAN E.P introduced its modular water treatment solution, highlighting advantages including rapid installation, reduced on-site construction, and low operation and maintenance requirements. Both sides also discussed potential pilot water treatment projects and future technical training programs.

Advancing Research and Innovation

On July 17, Mr. Pan visited the China–Sri Lanka Joint Research and Demonstration Center (JRDC) for Water Technology, where both parties explored joint research on adapting water treatment technologies to tropical environments and improving localized operation and maintenance. The cooperation aims to establish a long-term framework covering research, pilot demonstration projects, and commercial deployment.

Supporting Sustainable Water Development in South Asia

During the week-long visit, TAIYUAN E.P. established connections across key sectors, including infrastructure, industry, government, and research. The visit marked an important step in the company's strategy of delivering not only advanced equipment but also integrated solutions, technical expertise, and long-term partnerships.

By strengthening collaboration with local stakeholders, TAIYUAN E.P is laying a solid foundation for the wider adoption of the TIMP Modular Prefabricated Wastewater & Water Treatment Plant across South Asia, supporting more efficient, sustainable, and resilient water infrastructure development.
